Need ATA/66 controller for DVD and burner

I want to hook up my DVD player & DVD Burner on to an
add-on PCI ATA controller.
Does not need a bios, as it will not be used with hard drives.
Can someone recommend a low price controller?
Something I could buy used off eBay.
My current Syba (Sil 680) ATA/133 PCI controller is suppose to work with
DVDs & burners, but so far no luck.

what model is ur dvd drive? external or internal? what motherboard do u

Have u tried going on the bios setup?
