I have a 40GB and a 10GB drive, and want to use spanning.
I set 2 drives, a 40GB and a 10GB 1 array - spanned. So 50GB size.

But when it boots off the array, it boots off the 40GB drive and only
shows 40GB. This is the case when booting into DOS, or booting into Win
98. (i'm testing it with win98).

I should have 50GB available but I don't.
I do not know whether it's meant to tell me i hae 40GB, then offer me
the other 10GB drive when the former fills up. Or whether it shows them
as 1 50GB drive. However, it does neither. I tried filling up the
40GB drive till i got an error. I tried this in DOS, and in Win98. I
could not access 50GB, i.e. i couln'd access the 10GB drive.
I did install the win98 drivers from the disk. though no software came
on the disk.

I know i can set it to do 2 separate striped arrays each consisting of
1 drive. Then I get access to each drive, with a different drive
letter. However, that is some so-called 'striping with 1 drive' option,
and i want to try out JBOD/Spanning.

Is there another manufacturer of RAID card that offers good technical
support?!
