I have an HP zv5000 laptop with a broken 15.4 inch widescreen. I have
attached a 14" external monitor but the screen size is too big. I have
adjusted the monitor to its smallest possible size. I have tried all the
adjustments with the slide bar in Windows XP Home's "Display Properties". I
have tried "monitor on" first then "computer on". I have contacted HP online
support and they had me unplug computer and hold "on" button for 2 minutes.
They had me download a driver with no results. They said they would get back
to me in a couple of days but have not. I have hooked up my HP Omnibook to
the external monitor and it works fine so I know its not a monitor problem.
Does anyone have a fix to this problem?
