quality to projector size

Hey, I am trying to get some dvd's burnt of footage for a cabaret Saturday
night. I am having trouble, how do I capture the footage from the video
camera so that it comes up the best quality that I can get on the projector
screen in front of 100 people or so! Please help?

Further to my question above what size do I need to make the saving of image
i.e. large screen small screen etc? Would appreciate help!?

Is this analog video or digital video that you're referring to?
