I can successfully connect my SONY DV camera to my HP laptop via Firewire (it
is recognized by the PC), and controls in Windows Movie Maker operate the
camera. However, I cannot successfully get video transferred to the PC.

Either nothing shows in the preview window (black screen) or I seem to
capture a single frame - and then nothing more.

Anyone have any ideas what is going wrong? Thanks.
