I am certain that lots of people already know this, but could someone
tell me how I can view multipart video files composed of .mpg.001,
..mpg.002, -----, and .avi.001, .avi.002, ----?
Do I need to buy a special software to join those files? Thanks for help
in advance.

If these arrived via email then you can combine them within the email
client. For example in Outlook Express select all of the files in order and
from menu above select "Message->Combine and Decode..."

If these are part of a rar package then use WinRar to open one of them and
it will automatically detect the other ones.
