Hello,

maybe someone can help me...many thanks if you can other than what I've
found to work (poor solution, so I don't bother with it and just boot into
win2k.)

ok, here's the deal, I have a NVIDIA FX 2000 with S-video out, and I'm
trying to watch media files (avi, vob, mpg, etc...) to my card's S-VIDEO out
using WMP, DivX player, PowerDVD, etc... and I get NO video on the TV set
(just a black screen) while on the PC monitor I do get it with WinXP. In
Win2k - works the way it should without even using "Clone" mode from the
NVIDIA tool. I tried, "Clone," and the other options from the NIVDIA option
panel on WinXP and the only half-baked solution is to (forgot which option it
is on the NVIDIA panel at the moment since I'm on win2k writing this) drag my
media file onto the TV set or right click the the video player's handle in
the taskbar and select "send to video (n,...)" - ok, so that works, but now
if i want to watch a 2 hour DVD, I can't screen save my monitor because when
i do, it screen saves the TV as well!

What's the deal with WinXP and not being able to display video on the TV
set? My friend's using WinMCE and the sample DVD clip works (from the MCE
center) the way it should like on Win2k...but not when I do it from powerdvd
on his box...is this a way to force us to use MS's MCE dvd player? whats the
deal!

Btw, this happens on WinXP, SP1, SP2 and MCE (with the exception of the MCE
dvd app...but other apps do not work even on MCE....only the MCE dvd player
works [shows media files on the TV.])

any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!
