What have you tried? What OS? Exactly what error messages are you getting?

Hi Lance, I am using a BT voyager 2000 wireless router
Host pc with xp home sp2 connected to router via ethernet cable
Laptop computer xp sp2
Sons PC using netgear MA111 usb 801b net adapter

My sons pc had sp2 installed but after having many problems with the
wireless network I uninstalled it. I got better connectivity and at one
stage the router acknowledged that his pc was on the network only trouble
was I couldn't browse the internet.

I gave up after 12 hours

now, my laptop PB series 5 with built in wifi was recognising the wireless
network that I had set up but for some strange reason that has bombed out as
well. In Network connections I have wireless connection (that I cannot
enable in any way shape or form, 1394 net adapter and LAN. when I run
network setup wizard nothing happens, the wireless connection doesnt
acknowledge the network and it is a complete ass.

Headtheball, don't take this the wrong way, but your network is a mess
and I'm sure you know that. And yes, SP2 may have something to do with
it, but only as a result of a deeper problem. Believe me, SP2 does work
exactly as expected and very well when your system is clean and free of
underlying problems.

It appears you have established network connectivity in the past, but it
goes away after awhile. Have you followed basic trouble shooting steps?
Are drivers/firmware updated? Have these computers been infected with
viruses/adware/spyware now or in the past? Anything unusual happen
during SP2 install?

If you are certain you have a clean system free of
viruses/adware/spyware, drivers/firmware are updated and all the tick
marks are as they should be, then here's what I'd do, understanding that
this may break certain software on your computer:
