It would be helpful to have a little more detail, but you have one of two
problems. The first could be that you are saving them in a location other
than your My Document folder. PPCs tend to look there and nowhere else
unless you have an ignore_my_documents (did I spel that right?? my PPC isn't
in front of me & I have CRS) at the root of the volume.
The second could be that you have file conversion turned off and it has been
saved as a straight Excel file Pocket Excel doesn't open them. For that you
need a third party app (and I highly reccoment you go this route) such as
SpreadCE (roughly$20) or Planmaker (currently Beta, but by all indications
will go Gold next month; no pricing has been announced, but I'm guessing
about $50. They might have an intro special)

Go to ActiveSync / Tools / Options / Rules / Conversion Settings (I'm
translating my Spanish Version) and search Microsoft Excel Workbook in the
Computer To Device tab. There is a button in the right side to change the
conversion
