Hi, first just to tell you I've tried upgrading driver and it didnt help,
alsow the system is dual boot to win98 and no problem in win98 so I guess
it's not a physical problem. So here's the deal I have installed winXP pro
on a friend system, his video card is an "nvidia tnt2 M64", the system
screen was configured at 1024*768 for a week or so without a problem, but
then he decided that he didnt like that size so he went to change it to
800*600 but after that the screen got down to 640*480, now whatever screen
resolution I choose he keeps it for aroud 30-60 sec then goes back to
640*480. When I change the screen size I dont get the windows that pop out
to ask if i want to keep this settings, but after upgrading to the new
nvidia detonator driver, when i change it using nvidia taskbar icon i get
the message asking to keep resolution, but even with new driver if i use
display properties I dont get the confirmaton message. dont know if it can
make a difference but I'm saying since i found that strange, I also tried
uninstalling the video card with the driver and re-installing it, nothing
seem to fix it. Any idea are welcome.
Thanks in advance !!
