How to identify the different between ATA33, ATA66 and ATA100

ATA33 has wider threads (40 wires) than an ATA66/100 cable (80 wires). The latter feels more brittle and is indeed more fragile compared to the former.

a 66/100 cable also normally has different color connectors, one black, one grey, one blue.
