Can the Prolific Prolific PL3507 support 2 devices on its IDE channel
or can it only manage one IDE device?

Cheers

It appears to be a Firewire card ??. Google for Prolific PL3507. It appears
people have trouble with it. A firmware update is discussed.

It is a firewire to IDE bridge. There are firmware updates but I have
the A revision of the chip and so it cannot be done.

Has anyone tried running two devices on the prolific chipset or does
anyone know of a tech spec that describes how many channels there are?
I couldnt find any!

Would connecting two devices if ti is only able to control one do
damage?

Cheers
