Hello, recently updated my PC, and I have all the correct software and wires,
but it does not want to capture the video. The PC reads the device, so I know
its working up to that point, what can I do?

I am using windows movie maker, firewire connected, and its a JVC GR-D72. The
real problem is that it does not seem to read the video feed from camera to
pC, tho it does control the camera, It worked ok once I got a firewire, but
then my old computer broke down so I bought a new PC. As not read the feed on
this pC at all.

It works as far as viewing the image feed back, I can control the camera
through the PC, it rewinds the tape and starts capture, but no images are
actually captured.
The cable is fine, that as been checked.
As for trying another camera, I will as soon as I know some one as got one.

If you're using Firewire, check the device Manager to see if your
Firewire card has the Texas Instrument (TI) host controller. If not,
replace it with one that does. After changing out my VIA card for the
TI card everything worked instantly.
