WMP - DVD Picture=Yes, DVD Sound = Sometimes

I have a Dell Laptop that plays DVDs fine when I use the pre-installed
CyberLink PowerDVD program.

But when I try to play the same DVDs using WMP I get mixed results. For most
of them there is no sound at all, but when I play the LiveAid DVD then the
intro music for each DVD in the set plays fine, but there's no sound with the
actual performances.

I'd really appreciate suggestions as to how I can get WMP to play these DVDs
with sound.
