Hiya

I have a really annoying problem that maybe someone could explain to
me -

I made a video of the kids on holiday and burnt it to DVD - it was
authored using DVD Architect (1.0c - Build 203) and burnt using a
Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-105 onto my usual DVD-R (Grade A : Mirror Premium
x4 DVD-R).

The problem is - when I put the DVD back into the Pioneer drive to
play the DVD (to capture frames from it for the DVD sleeve artwork)
the drive did not recognise the disk - kept stating that the drive was
empty. Both Explorer (Windows 2000 Pro - SP4) and PowerDVD failed to
recognise the DVD.

When I placed the DVD in my CD-RW/DVD drive (Optorite combo DC4801) in
the same machine - no problem at all !?!

So how come the DVD-RW drive that burnt the DVD failed to recognise
what it had created ?

I also burnt the VOB files created by DVD Architect using Nero
(5.5.10.54) in the same Pioneer drive, and guess what ? That DVD was
recognised by the Pioneer drive !!!

Is it just a gremlin (dodgy single DVD-R) - or is there something
going on with DVD Architect ???

Thoughts most welcome...
