I built this great machine for editing home movies but now I'd like to
do it for money. The system is a P4 3.2 (800 FSB), 1 gig memory, sata
raid 0 drives (10k rpm), canopus dvstorm, ati aiw 9800 pro (yea, I
should of gotten a dual monitor card, my bad), HP DVD movie writer and
a great sony mini dv camera. I like the software that came with the
canopus edit card, and I think I have a handle on the features and
possibilities, so are my only options editing home movies (for
others), and perhaps an instructional corporate film? Don't get me
wrong, I don't expect a movie or even a commercial, but are there any
other options? I'm in the Boston Ma area if that matters.
I'd like to get a discussion going about this to see what some of you
think.
Thanks
gv

Do you have any samples of your work? I'm often looking for editors to
contract. I'm based near LA, but I can send stuff out - I've done it before.

Whatever I have that I don't want to do the work on ;)

Typically it would be weddings or other event videos, sometimes infomercials
and the like.
