This is unique to the 3800. They fixed it when the 3900 came out. The
5400 might be susceptible but I am not positive about that. Just stick
your finger over the IR port when outside or disable IR temporarily.

I blame the sun itself. A perfectly good medium-sized yellow star
that has fusion working without a hitch, and the damn thing isn't even
Windows-compatible! ;-)

Well, it doesn't have the Windows Logo, so I expect it may not be
compatible. I think the Sun is more a Java thing anyway... ;-)

Of course, when Sol does, if ever, become Windows compatible, Micrsoft will
have to start issuing patches, it will crash whenever it feels like it,
cause your PDA to disconnect whenever, and the all feared, repeat the same
day again and again, as it does in my Outlook calendar.
Sol is just fine the way it is.
