MovieStar 5 audio question

Okay, I'll admit up front that I need to upgrade my software; but for now,
this is what I'm stuck with. I'm using MovieStar 5 that came packaged with
my Dazzle DVC100 analog to digital bridge. Again, I realize this may be the
equivalent of stone knives & bear skins around here; but I'm a newbie.

So here's my question. When I add a second or third audio track (by
importing an mp3 or wav file), the project file does not save these audio
files. If I save the project file and quit, any added audio tracks are gone
when I reopen the project. (They're not deleted from the HD, they're just
gone from the project.) So far, the limits of my audio creativity have
allowed me to recreate these tracks easily, but it *is* a pain in the ass.

Is this simply a limitation of the software? Or, is there some setting
I've overlooked?
