i have burned a small clip from a dvd recorder on my tv
and i want to edit it but my movie maker will not use the
dvd i burned.it says it does not support it.how can i fix
this problem?

The file D:\VIDEO_RM\VIDEO_RM.IFO is not a supported file
type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker

The tv video needs to be converted,you should,download windows media
encoder,get the utilitys also from its home page,codecs also_Once completed,
in the encoder select,convert file,browse to the folder the clip is in,the
encoder
will do the rest,you might create a new folder for the output file it
converts.

Hey there. Try saving the video file from the DVD onto your hard drive. Then
import the movie into windows movie maker. That might work, might not... but
it's worth a try.
