Is there a piece of kit available which I can use to provide a wi-fi
or similar radio link between PC and TV for showing video files ? I
have a long VGA-Sony cable (proprietary sony connector on other end)
which works well - excellent picture - but the PC and TV are too far
apart.

Cheers,

Blewyn

There are plenty of 2.4ghz video sending units on the market at you
local radio shack or wal-mart that will send an analog signal across the
house. Or if you don't have analog output on your computer you could
use a wireless access point which are usually going quite cheap and plug
that into a device that does what you want. There are a number of stand
alone media receivers on the market now with built in ethernet like the
Hauppage MediaMVP.
