What is your method to copy part of a song to insert the shortened clip into
Movie Maker or a Web Site? I use MP v.10 for XP and also vs. 7 for Win ME.
The songs are 3 minutes long and I only need short clips of them. Is it
possible?

For some reason Media Player 9.x makes the 'Music Clip' hard to find?

And I have Nero Suite and MusicMatch

You could use mp3Trim or WavTrim (both freeware, no install) to remove the
parts of the music file you don't want: http://www.mptrim.com/

Maybe I don't understand correctly, but you can bring a song into Movie Maker.
Then drag it to the 'timeline' ......you can just grab the ends of it and
shorten it up
as much as you like....I do that after my movie or slideshow pictures with
transitions/effects are completed. Then if you shorten a song and it end
abruptly,
just right click on the 'audio/song' line in the timeline and choose 'fade
out'.....that is
where you can also change the volume of the song.

If I am not understanding you correctly then Ian's suggestion is the far
better one.
I like Mp3Trim....its a good program.
