unable to import clips into movie maker get unknown
error message but if i restart mm the clip is there but i
still cannot drag onto time line.

Possibly a file type or codec problem.
What sort of file type is it?
MM works best with dv-avi files, if it's not one of these, this may be the
problem, otherwise a codec may be interfering on the system and checking out
www.papajohn.org crashes and hangs may help.
