I have a Dell Latitude C800 series (or something like that laptop) I recently
upgraded it from windows 2000 professional to windows XP professional. I
never used the video output on the side of the computer but i just bought an
s-video cable and tried hooking it up to two different TV's. Both of the
times I tried this, the televisions displayed windows right as the log on
screen would be about to pop up, but one or two seconds after the log on
screen showed up on the TV, the screen went black and the picture would not
come back. I can't locate settings in windows help on the computer to take
care of this, doe anyone have any answers for me?

You need to go into the properties section of the graphics card to enable
the tv out. You may need to upgrade the drivers first from dell to match XP.
