Is there anything that can be done to stop moviemaker
from introducing an audio glitch when it begins
transitions. The video transitions look good but the
glitches in the audio require me to re-render the movie
in Video Explosion to eliminate the glitch.

This is a known bug. Here is a workaround if u must use Movie Maker, but
if u have an alternative then stick to that:

1. Render the movie in DV AVI format without any sound (right click on
video and select Mute). Lets call out.avi

2. Render the movie again from the same project this time select a high
res WMV profile. Lets call it out.wmv

3. In a new porject import the above two files. Place out.avi in Video
track and out.wmv in music track. Render again in DV AVI format.
