Anyone know of a free utility anywhere that will convert the newer
quicktime movies to an mpg or avi or wmv?

I've got Roxio 7, and most quicktime files can be imported, but I have
a few files, from the internet, that will not import.

Will Quicktime Pro convert files?

Yes, it will convert to AVI. Also check at PapaJohn's website at
www.papajohn.org, I think he has some links to free converters.
