OK...

The set up is as follows (ipaq 4150 if that makes any difference)

POP mail server.
Normally this was accessed and mail was pulled off from home PC.

So...set up the ipaq to also access the pop mailbox.

It downloads the headers, can be marked to get the full message and appears
to leave the mail on the server so I can also be grabbed from home.

Perfect.

Until it appears that, when connecting again to the POP box, if the emails
have now gone from the box because they've been downloaded from home Outlook
now emptied it's own inbox to match the now empty pop server.

Surely this isn't sane POP3 behaviour?
I don't expect a connection to download more mail to then deleted what's in
the inbox. And I can't find any settings to stop this happening.

Is this standard outlook behaviour?
Can anyone please point me in the direction of a solution or a different mail
client?
