I would appreciate some help in order to actually get the chance to play this
"wonderful" game, Championship Manager 5.

My problem is that after I install and click on the icon ready to play. I
get a black screen with the message, "Direct 3D failed to initialise - please
check you have a compatable card and driver"

My dxdiag output (which includes system info) is listed below.

Also, I have checked for the latest graphics card drivers on the ATI and
Packard Bell website. Apparently I have the latest. Still no joy. Any help
would be most appreciated.

Please note that I have run the direct draw test and its ok. I have also run
the direct 3d tests and they are not ok - I do not see any spinning cube.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Is the report correct? You only have 4mb of graphics memory? Exactly which
model of Packard Bell PC do you have? Are you sure your graphics chipset
supports 3D?

You only have Rage Mobility. What do you expect from this graphics chip?
This was released in 1998 and does not support any modern 3D
acceleration features.
