.avi files viewable under Quicktime but not Windows XP video

Files generated with Ricoh RR1 camera. Run under Quicktime and MGI VideoWave
but not this product.
any clues?

Are you sure they are AVI files or are they MOV files? Whichever, it sounds
like they need converting for WMP to play them correctly.

Thanks:
turns out they are actually MJPEG and a codec from "Morgan Multimedia" did
the job.
