Proper documentation on this program is excessively rare and incomplete,
unfortunately. What I'm trying to do is something I was able to do with
DVD-Lab. I have a menu that is 42.5 seconds long. I want to play the
first 2.5 seconds, after which the buttons are navigable, and then I
want it to loop the remaining 40 seconds twice before proceeding to the
movie.
I've already managed to get the menu to play the first 2.5 seconds and
then pop up the button navigation. So here's the problem. DVD Maestro
gives you a slider for designating a loop start point, as well as three
choices:
Still - This apparently causes the menu to freeze on its last frame when
it has played through once.
Loop - This supposedly loops the menu segment which corresponds to the
are between the slider and the end of the menu. Indefinitely, until a
selection is made.
Timeout - This seems to be what I need. It allows me to designate a loop
start point, as well as a "timeout" in seconds. Unfortunately, what this
option really seems to do is totally ignore the loop start point, play
the menu through once, and freeze the menu's last frame for the total
number of seconds specified in the "timeout" seconds area. That's pretty
darned worthless.
So, what the heck? I'm obviously doing something wrong. Somebody prove
they know what they're talking about, and show me how it's done.
