Doesn the wizard detect the field order when you selecrt an avi file?

I ma testing capturing from the TV, with my VIVO GF4600 videocard, using
Virtualdub and the Mainconcept C 2.04 codec, anf the wizard sets it as a
Bottom Firld first which is what is set for DV. Is this correct? The source
is from TV which is Top Field First, but the codec is DV based.

Help is appreciated

TMPGEnc automatically assumes DV is lower field first. That's why you
should never use a DV codec for capturing TFF video with an analog
capture card.
