Hi all,

I just dug up an old JVC DVL-150. Sure, it's very entry-level, but I
think it could still be useful for some projects. Its 'widescreen'
mode is just black bars superimposed, as expected. However, it also
has a 'squeeze' mode, that squeezes the widescreen into a 4:3 frame.
When captured, it comes out as regular 16:9.

Basic question: is it any good? Or should I always shoot in 4:3? Any
experiences you'd like to share?

Thanks for the help, and your patience.

Kind regards,

Paul
