Loosing Sound when playing a DVD in Windows Media

When I Play a DVD all of the background sounds come out fine such as music.
But all voices and dialog sound muffled such as they were in an echo
chamber. This also happens when I use WinDVD. I am using XP Pro.

Also all the intro stuff such as copyright notices ply their music and
noices just fine. Its just dialogue in the movie.
