Can't Capture with FireWire or USB-HELP!

Generally usb capture is at a low level

Just because the cam can be controolled doesn't mean it is ok. What worries
me is that you cannot use it on another machine either. I'd look for machine
3 and 4 to test on, try for Win 98 and XP SP1 machines.

These apps are designed for USB capture, so no need to worry at all.

When using firewire it should output the dv signal it recorded. This will
become dv-avi on a pc and .mov on a Mac.

Movie Maker etc are all designed to work with firewire, not usb.

You have a digital cam to use firewire, USB2 will not give the same results.
