Want laptop display screen to stay on

Hello,
I've followed the usual instructions regarding "turn off display after" but no matter what time I select, the screen always goes dark after 60 seconds of mouse inactivity.

  1. Hello TheRobison,

Follow the instructions under "How can I prevent my computer from automatically sleeping or hibernating" - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Sleep-and-hibernation-frequently-asked-questions

Let us know if this helps!

  2. Check the screen saver options, also make sure you are changing the power settings for both plugged in and on battery
  3. I tried both of the above suggestions. It did not help. I finally downloaded a shareware application called MouseTwitch and it works great. It simulates small mouse movement at a selected interval so the computer does not go to sleep while MouseTwitch is turned on.
