Can anybody please help. This is an extreemely annoying feature that has
appeared after installing XP SP2 on my Dell D800 laptop.
When I'm away from a wireless network then I keep getting "Wireless Network
Connection is not connected" bubble appearing about every few mins,
sometimes every 1-2mins and is extreemely annoying. Almost as annoying as
that damned paperclip. It's ok to be notified once connection is lost, but
not continually.
I've unticked the "Notify me when this connection has limited or no
connectivity" box in the driver properties page with no change.
I've even unticked the "Show icon in notification area when connected" box
yet the icon remains and I still get this annoying popup.
Anybody else experienced this and know how I can fix this?

Hi Emyr,
If you are in a state that you do not want to be notified of "not being
connected" or that there are "wireless networks available", you can disable
the wireless NIC and the balloons will stop.
