If you are traveling, you can get a list of available wireless networks in

and postal code for that area.</quote>

That quote is from the xp help files.

Where does one 'enter' the city, etc. information mentioned?

Hi Neo,

This option will only be seen if you have signed up with a Wireless ISP
(WISP). If you have signed up with a WISP, there
will be two additional tasks on the 'View Available Networks' page that will
let you 'Find a wireless network location' and
'Reveal access points of wireless providers'. Using the 'Find a wireless
network location' task you can find the addresses for
access points that are part of the WISP.

The text in the help file is a bit confusing and does not let people
know that this option is only available to WISP users.

Thanks,
Chris Gual [MSFT]
