Yes I can see it. Don't care much about Pinnacle Studio 8 though.
Your last post appeared to be a problem burning your DVDs,
what have you tried to burn your project with? What software?
Have you tried the software that came with your drive? What
drive are you trying to use? Are you having any problem burning
things that were not put through Pinnacle Studio 8? What OS are
you using? Are the media you are trying to use listed for your
drive at www.videohelp.com or by the drive maker?
If you get no response try restating your question with more
information provided. Whining seldom gets you much help.

What with? You mean what burner? Digitial Research dual format 4x burner.

Pinnacle 8, the software that came with the burner.

It will burn AVI files, mpegs, jpeg, wav files, etc. onto CD-R, CD-RW,
DVD-RW's just dandy using the Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD that also came with
the burner drive. PS8 will also create an mpeg, Realmedia, multimedia or avi
file just fine, and will burn a video CD, but it doesn't work on a DVD
project as such, nor am I getting output to VHS tape.

I assume so since it seems to accept files - avi, mpeg, etc. However looking
at this site I see it's an excellent resource, I appreciate the tip.

Ok, given all that, have you tried authoring your PS8
project to your hard drive. Have it make VIDEO_TS,
and AUDIO_TS folders with all the proper files, then
burn that with your Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD.
I don't know what setup you have for video and audio
output, and I am guessing that you are not storing digital
data on your "VHS tape". Then all you need to do is
play your finished project outputing the analog signals to
your VCR. Most any PC DVD player software should
do.
While I would never use your PS8 or a number of other
non-functional software, if I had managed to create something
with it and it would not burn properly with its built in burner,
I would burn it with something else.

I'm new at this and not intimately familiar with all the in's and out's. I
see several folders. Do you simply burn those files onto a dvd or is there
more to it than that? What are all the other folder for?
Also someone mentioned changing the file names to upper case, but it won't
let me. Keeps reverting them back to lower case.

Pinnacle DC-10 Plus capture card, Soundblaster Audigy2 soundcard. It
captures fine, and it outputs to the tv when I'm capturing, but I can't get
it to output a finished file to vhs tape, or get the program to burn the DVD
like it's supposed to.

Change video_ts to VIDEO_TS9 and hit return to accept the change. Go to
change the name again and take out the 9. That should work.

Your PS8 should have a "preference" or "option" page that will allow
you to tell it where to put the files it makes, check that to see were your
files are. There should be a directory with only two folders, an empty
AUDIO_TS folder and
a VIDEO_TS folder with files like this :
VIDEO_TS.BUP [This is a back-up of the file below ]
VIDEO_TS.IFO [This is the file that tells the player how the
DVD files should be played. It is
the one you
would select to play with your PC
player .]
VIDEO_TS.VOB [This is your base/main/root menu.]
VTS_01_0.BUP [This is a back-up of the file below ]
VTS_01_0.IFO [How to play and navigation data for the vob]
VTS_01_1.VOB [ The first actual video&audio data MPEG file
(this one will be large)]
( The VTS files may be continue with sequential numbers, these
are the actual "MPEG" files of your project.)
Your hardware should have come with some instructions. If
it has an output function there should be controls to implement
that. Your Help function in your capture software should
describe how it would be done. Other than that, your PC Player
software might detect the Crossbar filter and/or Tee filter for
your output pin.
