Problem with Designer view..

Hi,
I just installed VS.NET 2003. I created a new C# Smart Device Application
project......but nothing shows up in the form designer view.
Instead I get this error message saying "The designer view cannot be shown
for this file as none of the classes in it can be designed"
But i checked the file (Form1.cs) and there is a class deriving from
System.Windows.Forms.Form!

Also, i tried loading the world clock sample from the Compact Framework
samples directory.....but VS.NET 2003 shouted out error messages saying it
could
not find the .NET assemblies mscorlib, System, System.XML, System.Data...etc
!

....Sinex
