I am running XP Home PC and have an intergrated Realtek Ethernet Adapter
which shows ''Network Cable is Unplugged'' all the time.I have plugged in a cross over cable
between my Win98 laptop and still the PC shows ''Network Cable is Unplugged''.
Does anyone have an idea I could try.

Are you sure the cable is good, ie. have you tried another cable? Otherwise look at this page for possible help...
