Hi
i am trying to remote desktop (Windows XP PRO on a home network about 12 feet apart) i can remote to one computer but not to the other i have enabled remoted desktop on both computers i have disabled the firewalls except the one on the router well i have disabled that one aswell and still no luck. i can ping both computers. Any suggestions????

When you try to connect to the other machine, are you using its name
or IP Address?

If you are using its name, try its IP address.

Also, try running netstat -ano on the problematic machine.. Do you
see an entry for 0.0.0.0:3389?
