needs help with xp shutting down and rebooting by itself

Please help me! I recently thought I had a worm so I wiped out harddrive and renstalled xp the first time I had problems so I wiped it out and for the second time I reinstalled and still have the smae problems.Was told my harddrive is gone but was also told I still have a worm Can someone please help me?? any information would be very greatly appreciated!

You haven't given us much to work with. What exactly are the symptoms?
