Hi all I have a very peculiar problem... I have a 52x SAMSUN CD ROM SC-152C
(Don't know if the model is all that important) which works fine
except for one bugging problem -- It doesn't play VCDs... I have tried
many things like reinstalling Video Codecs, Windows Media Player,
Direct X, etc. All other types of audio, video and data files are
accessed without any problem, but if I try to open a VCD (.dat file),
the media player or any other player or editing software to which I'm
trying to load the .dat just hangs up. A couple of months ago, I used
to get a message saying "Cannot play this file... File may be corrupt"
or something like that... but now it just hangs. If I try to copy the
..dat to my hard-disk first, it says "Cannot read from source file or
disk"... Now, I've tried various things and feel I'm at a dead end...
Can any of the experts please help me?
