Would you consider buying previously owned computer hardware, if it were tested and deemed acceptable for resale? If not would you consider selling YOUR used hardware for cash only?

I would consider, why not.

Parts with no moving mechanical (pretty much anything except for drives and fans) I would consider buying used. I have done so, in fact. I got the used SBC+CPU's for my dual PPro fileserver for something like $20, and the used CPUs for my Dual PII-450 crashbox for $20-30 apiece. Both work flawlessly. I guess I'm lucky.

I've bought and sold used motherboards and CPU's many times, I've only been burned once and that was by a dealership not an individual person. I wouldn't buy a used hardisk, or CDrom drive but just about everything else is fair game.

Blah, Blah Blahh, Blahh, blahh blah blahh, blah blah.

I'd buy used computers and / or parts, but only from a retailer that offers at least a 1 month retailer (not factory) warantee.

And even then, I'd only buy used out of insanity and/or desperation. I certainly wouldn't buy used for my main system.

Would I sell parts and/or systems? Nope. I like having a computer graveyard in my storage room. It makes it look all technical. :)

Do you have proof for that, Bowser? Sounds like someone is talking out of their pointy ass.

Of course AMD chips are used. If they weren't, then they'd just sit there in a big pile, looking like bowser dung, and AMD would have gone bankrupt.

And it's a good thing that they get used too, because if they weren't used at all, then Intel would still be charging us $500 for a P3-450MHZ CPU.

Take your egostistic beliefs to another thread please. It's reasons like this that kept me away from this forum for over a year.

What?? He's saying that AMD sells used processors (as new ones, assumedly), and you're putting ME down?

Try understanding someone else, instead of just yourself once in a while, it helps.

I buy and sell hundreds of used systems and parts every year! When I find something I like, I put it in my own system!
