I noticed these items at the store the other day and wondered if anyone uses
them, have any good/bad things to say. They both seem to do the same thing
but one cost twice as much. Do they do anything really?
If I can get some better signal by using either one of these over just
running composite cables from the VCR to my computer that would be great.
Basically I want to copy my VHS tapes to DVD. Here's my setup:
ATI All In Wonder 9800 Pro
P4 2.66 CPU
1GB RAM
160GB HD
Thanks for your help.
Richard

The SIMA Copy this is used to bypass the Macro Vision protection used
on some commercial VHS so that you can copy the tapes to DVD.
It is a bit limited in control though...
I use the SIMA Color Corrector Pro-Series Model SCC... this unit will
bypass several types of protections as well as allow you to adjust
Tint, Color, Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, Blue, Green, Red... for
my use I found the Color Corrector Pro to be much better unit...it
works a advertised and in some cases the video looked better then the
original copy...
