As i have 2 children and 1 on the way, i'm concerned at the hassle of
lugging around 2 cameras.
Salespeople have recommended 2 video cameras so far which they believe will
take good quality stills and movies in the one package.. One a Samsung d
6050 (smaller 6550 due for release may 2005) duo cam 2 lense 5 megapixel
for stills and movie. The other was recommended from the same store
(seperate ocassion) is the Panasonic nvgs 120/200 which has 3ccd but a lower
megapixel at 1.3 for the 120 and 2.3 for the 200. Salesperson 2 said the 3
chips in the panasonic is the same used in their pro series and will give a
better picture than the 1 chip 5 megapixel comparison. Confused!!

Use a good still camera for still photos and a good video camera for video.
The cameras do not have to heavy, with the miniaturization today.
There is not a good "all in one" solution.
Remember, you were talking to a "sales" person. A sales person just wants to
sell you something.
