driver prob with dlink dwl 510

Hi

I recently bought dwl 610 for the laptop and a 510 for the desktop. Laptop
is installed and ready to go but i am having trouble getting a suitable
driver for the 510.

Unfortunately it came without a cd so i went to the dlink website and
downloaded the firmware and driver but the firmware program wont open
although it is in the programs list and has put a shortcut on the desktop.

If i use device manager to install driver and locate it in the dlink file it
doesnt recognise it as the correct driver.

any advice appreciated
