printing via terminal services from a xp pro machine

with 2 people using remote connections and one using console controls via terminal services plus one on a local network all running one windows based program (all is working perfectly) EXCEPT one of the xp machines cannot print to its local printer. It is defaulting to one of the other computers on the network and is not seeing the local printer at all. The printer that is local is a HP deskjet 3820 and we have tried everthing (updated drivers for the printer). To go along with this the same computer is not able to connect to the domain, or allowing remote assistance.

never mind...just had user upgrade printer driver. hp had new driver so we upgraded then had to do remote desktop in to server and did same there. Tried it after reading through a bunch of these questions and replies. So thanks to all who use this.
