howto load extra drivers onto win98 startup disk

I have a pcmcia adaptec 1460b card. The win98 startup disk will not recognize my scsi cd-rom. I really need help trying to install the drivers so I can install win98 on my laptop. Right now the hard drive is blank and I really need the help

Do you have another Cdrom? Just to get windows loaded and an internet connection. Then you could just download the driver. Also if u partition the drive you can store a copy of windows and all the drivers you need on it and never have this problem again. If you have the extra room that is.

He's right you will need to do a remote installation. You need to either connect to another computer via ethernet or parallel port using dos. Then you will need to copy the win9x or win98 folder to your c drive and execute the setup.exe file.

to copy in dos enter:

c:
format c: /s (not necessary but recommended)
mkdir win98

change to the remote win98 directory and type:
copy *.* c:\win98

then execute the setup.exe in the win98 folder on your c: drive.
