I am in the market for an external dual layer dvd burner, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with which is the best out right now. I am looking at the LuCie 16x dual layer and the Memorex 16x dual layer. I just dont know which to choose. Thanx People.

Memorex is the easy choice - based on the Pioneer A08 model, which
has gotten good reviews - and pretty cheap all around.

Otherwise, www.newegg.com for the Pioneer 108 (OEM version) for
$84.00 + any ol' external 5.25" enclosure (such as the ME-320 series)
for <$30.

I've been able to drop anything into the ME-320 series in just a few
minutes flat, so they're really easy to put together and use. They have
various ME-320 models, USB only, FW only, USB + FW, so pick.
