Hi,

When I remote into a 2k3 server from my XP Pro box, I want to have the wallpaper in a different color. Sometimes, I'm RDP'd into several machines and it would be nice to either: Have each session have a different color wallpaper to visually tell the difference in servers. Or, have one color for all RDP sessions just so I know I'm working on a remote session rather than my local system. I know about the server tab and there's other ways to tell what server your on but I want a visual aid for my inexperienced admis so they don't do something on a remote box accidentally.

I could change my local wallpaper but some clients I work with lock down the wallpaper settings with GPO's.

Any thoughts? Thanks,
JT.

There isn't any way that I am aware of other than doing some special
scripting (beyond the scope of what is covered here) that would detect
and change the wallpaper to something other than what is in the user
profile.
